I’m a huge fan of immense, eccentric jewelery, the kind that stares back at you and says ‘yeah I’m hanging round your neck AND WHAT! The kind of piece that quite literally jumps out at you or impairs the vision of dismayed onlookers.
Unfortunately the market for such embellishments is not enormous which is why I was so pleasantly fulfilled when I saw the AW10 collection from Florian Man. the pieces from this delectable collection take ‘bold accessorising’ to a new level. Goodness ranging from antler neck pieces to buffalo horn gloves and everything leathery and animalistic in-between…
At present I feel it’s basically imperative that I get my hands on a Cow, rope necklace.
I didn’t get to see too many bands at secret garden as I spent most of my time getting ‘ravey’ to glitch or dubstep; however one of the artists I did get to see was Sarah Blasko.
Blasko is the perfect mix of musical goodness, with her husky voice and ‘shy girl’ quirkiness she reminds me of a timid Bjork.
If you like Jazzy productions with a twist or just tasteful music check her out.
This coming Friday (30/07/10) not only is it the last of the month But its Topmans ‘Fashion Friday’.
Set in the flagship stores ‘Stylist Lounge’ and perfect from a sneaky after work, weekend shop. A team of Topman stylists will be on hand to dispense their sartorial knowhow on how to sport the latest looks, while an in-house DJ provides the soundtrack.
Expect freebies such as goody bags, haircuts and wet shaves care of Sharps Barber Shop, and 20 per cent off Topman stocked brands. This Friday you can also take a devious preview of the second installment from the AAA collection, and let me tell you its well worth it.
Basically it’s the only place to be this Friday.
If that hasn’t scored Fashion Fridays a place in your diary, then, wait for it… There will be free beer!
See you there.
I’m of to The Secret Garden Party for the next 5 days, to have a wonderful time in the magical land of the garden.
Hopefully partaking in such events as this…
ALOT of this
and maybe even some of this.
Its important that i own all of these pieces!
Ok, so I’m wandering around Carnaby St and I stumble upon this little boutique, Year Zero on Beak St. I mean this place is amazing!
If you’re looking for anything from casual, everyday ware to some snappy evening gear with a bit of a tangy twist. This place is the store to hit. Everything in there is hand made in London and can be fitted to your personal needs, weather it be a one off shirt or dress to a whole wardrobe with matching custom bags.
The brand also has a vast range of customised goodies from paint splashed and spray painted Louis Vuitton bags to Studded Converses.
The brand has a huge Celebrity following. With clients like Juliette Lewis, Pink, Mika, The GOSSIP, Christina Aguilera, Lulu, Sultan of Bruni, Flavio Briatore, David & Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Paris Hilton and kimberly Stuart. And Beyonce!
Even if your wallets don’t permit you to have your entire wardrobes decked out, Year Zero definitely deserves a visit. The staff are lovely and ridiculously cool and the store just has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It’s currently my favourite place in the whole world!
Ok it’s the moment I’ve been epically counting down the minutes too. The collection of the Fendi.
